a.Rotary Citation for Rotary Clubs

2.Club Recognition from Rotary District 9810
a.Enviro Club Awards
In 202/21 Rotary District 9810 will participate in the Rotary Sustainable Communities Enviro Club Awards. Of the three levels of award available clubs may, in the first year, apply to for recognition at the Bronze level. Requirements for a Bronze level award are;
- Appoint a Club Environmental Sustainability Officer (ESO)
- Form a small committee or working group of 2 or 3+ members with the aim to meet formally or informally several times a year to review the environmental initiatives of the club and to consider future possible projects
- Have these projects or events recognised by the club Board and shared with the rest of the club members
- Once this has been achieved, submit an application for the Award to the DEO
- To retain the award, send an annual statement of environmentally sustainable projects or events to the DEO
b.District Recognitions 2023/24
Clubs are invited to submit applications to be recognised for their achievements in the areas of:
- Club Building
- Club Projects
- Club PR and Communications
If a Club receives recognition in all three categories, it will automatically qualify for an additional recognition as an "Outstanding Rotary Club in 2023/2024".
Clubs do not need to apply for this additional recognition.

Selection Criteria
In addition to the RI Recognition program, the aim of our District’s recognition system is to acknowledge suitably qualified Clubs for their achievements in the areas of Club Building, Club Projects, and Club PR & Communications.
The selection criteria have been designed to clearly specify the areas on which the assessment will be based.
There will be an element of judgement to ensure that all Clubs recognised are of the highest possible standard.
Recognition Categories
1. CLUB BUILDING (for application form click here)
- Maintain a comprehensive Club Membership Growth & Retention plan
- Achieve a net increase in membership of at least 2 members from the July 1, 2023 RI figures, at the time of submission
- Maintain a new member mentoring and engagement program.
To qualify for this recognition, Clubs should include a copy of their Membership Plan with their submission and provide a brief statement of their membership status and their mentor program.
2. CLUB PROJECTS (for application form click here)
- Develop a major new service project.
- OR expand an existing major service project.
- Support of projects from two other avenues of service.
- Some Club service recognitions may be noted as Community, International, Vocational or Service to Youth or Multi Club.
To qualify for this recognition, Clubs should supply a brief statement on each of the three areas in this recognition category.
3. CLUB PR / COMMUNICATIONS (for application form click here)
- Publish a well-designed, regular Club bulletin (or Communique) and have an engaging, and up-to-date website.
- Show engagement with the community by promoting Club activities and achievements through at least one social media channel.
- Promote a major Club project, or the Club or Rotary in general through a significant local media PR campaign.
To qualify for this recognition, Clubs must supply a brief statement, electronic attachments, screen shots / links (if applicable) about each of the three areas in this recognition category.
Recognising the Achievements of Individual Rotarians
Individual Rotarians can be recognised for outstanding contributions through the following awards:
- Avenues of Service Award (district recognition)
- Avenues of Service Award (RI recognition)
- Rotary Foundation Citation for Meritorious Service
- Rotary Foundation Distinguished Service Award
- Rotary Foundation District Service Award
- Service Above Self Award
- Service Award for a Polio-Free World
- PolioPlus Pioneer Award
Clubs are encouraged to become familiar with the criteria for each award and submit members who appear to be eligible.
Awards of this nature not only recognise the achievement and contribution of individuals but acknowledge the support provided by a strong club and provide club members with significant satisfaction that one of their colleagues has been recognised is such a manner.
