Whitehorse Rotaract participated in a Clean Up Australia event hosted by Box Hill Central Rotary Club on November 19, removing rubbish from Springfield Park in Box Hill.
On November 29th, Whitehorse Rotaract hosted their annual Christmas card making night. Along with members of Monash Rotaract and the Whitehorse community, they wrote and decorated heartfelt cards that will be given to around 150 local elderly residents.
Whitehorse and Monash Rotaract donated over $700 to the Wishing Tree appeal, hosted by Kmart Doncaster, specifically picking out items in the store to donate. For 36 years, Kmart Wishing Tree has partnered with the Salvation Army with the aim to spread joy to those experiencing hardship in the Christmas season. Donated goods are distributed to those grappling with the cost of living.
 
Members of Whitehorse Rotaract have also been attending FORaMEAL packing days at Carey Baptist Grammar School, Carey Boathouse, and St Leonard’s College to assist with packing disaster relief meals.
On December 10th, Monash Rotaract hosted a social dinner cooked by their president, Philip. Members of both Monash and Whitehorse were treated to delicious meal.
We attempted to hold our annual Rotaract District 9810 holiday picnic on December 2nd. A change of plans due to the unfortunate weather turned a picnic into a board games afternoon indoors, but we had a wonderful time nonetheless!
On 6 February 2024, District Governor Ian Ballantine will be visiting the District 9810 Rotaract clubs, at the Melbourne Baseball Club. Ian will present on the DG partner project End Polio from Ian, and Barb Lawrence will be present on the Rotary Club of Lilydale's 'Mental Health Care Packs' initiative. Dinner (pizza 🍕) will be served at 7 pm, and presentations will start at 7:30 pm. Rotaractors, Rotary alumni, Rotarians, and friends are more than welcome to join;
