In the 2018 – 2019 Rotary year, Interplast Australia & New Zealand Districts delivered 72 Programs. They included 13 Surgical and 48 Training Programs across 17 countries, see map. A total of 518 patients had surgery and of these 56% were male and 44% were female. District 9810 delivered 4 Surgical and 2 Training Programs. In September 2018 to Samoa (Surgical), November 2018 to Cagayan de Oro and to Baguio, both in the Philippines (Surgical and Training), and then in early 2019 to Labasa, Fiji (Surgical).
The cost of a Surgical Program is $45,000. When this target is reached, a program is selected and organized. If a Club wishes to send an Observer then an additional payment of $5,000 is required from the club.
